What else to consider

The key lock chests (B008HZUI34 and) are budget picks. At ~$54.99 and ~$59.99, they’re cheap, light, and fine for sticky fingers. But the keys bend, and a crowbar opens them in minutes. I picked the lock on the smaller one with a paperclip. Don’t store anything you can’t replace.
Should you buy the SentrySafe File Box?
If you want the bestseller for a reason, yes. It’s the best overall for most people. It survived a real house fire, it has great customer support, and it’s under a hundred bucks. But it’s heavy, the gasket falls off, and the key bends. Tape the battery door, buy the anchors separately, and sink those suckers into a stud.
